My new favourite location

Recently I was out for a morning walk with my smallest boy when I crossed the road, for no particular reason, and found this delicious little hidden gem of a spot tucked on the side of a busy road.  During the late morning light it was pretty special, so I knew that the light at sunset would be just magical.

We made a few more daytime visits.  Here's some of the shots - including lots of my favourite weed which look likes stalks with rotor blades - and I photograph it a lot!

This grass was just on a verge on the side of the road, on our way to the location - how lush is it!

Now - sunset, how to test the light at this time of day with a small family of hungry boys (mine) - a pizza picnic of course!

A few days ago we had a maternity shoot at this spot.  I'm just waiting for the OK, then I'll post some of those pictures too.

Poor neglected garden

Although we have a newish garden, it doesn't get the attention it needs at times.  Still - I don't mind too much if it still looks pretty.

This next one is a photo I took late last year.  We live across the road from a park, and beyond that is cane fields.  I wanted to photograph some of the harvesting - this is as close as I got, but I still like it.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned.

Our Easter

Our Easter was delayed on two counts.
1.  Hubby was on nightshift all Easter, and
2.  Number one son has been quite ill and not in the least bit interested in chocolate - until today!

So while they were having an afternoon rest, which isn't normal these days, something else extraordinary happened.  As if by magic, two very large eggs appeared in the playroom on their little red chairs - one for each of them. Of course the grown ups didn't see or hear the Easter bunny - it's a total mystery!

Number two son was very happy to pose for photos - with his shiny treasure.  Then they both made quick work of unwrapping them.

Number one son who was less interested in sampling the wares, then proceeded to break his into tiny pieces to stash away for later - still not feeling that well obviously.

Sorry this is very late - but Happy Easter everyone!

A beautiful funny cheeky little girl

Last week I photographed a beautiful little girl who is on holiday here with her Mum and Dad from Sydney. This was a special session for me.  I was thrilled that her Mum and Dad loved their images as much as I did!

She was such a pro with the camera - look at that smile!

Sometimes she had a serious side...

but it didn't last for long...

Then we headed to the beach to play (and eat sand)

And finally - some lovely light, and some special moments.  There's a lot of love in this family.

Thank you again guys for sharing some time with me.  Enjoy the rest of your holiday.
